The judges for the contest will include Mayor Jason Buelterman, City Councilman Paul Wolff, artist Carolyn Neely (a well-known “part-timer” on Tybee), Jan VandenBulck (a board member of the Savannah Tree Foundation and also a part-time resident on Tybee), and artist Mallory Pearce.
Students in all grades are eligible to enter, and prizes include gift certificates, tree guides, and, for the top winner…the chance to have his or her poster design featured on the Savannah Tree Foundation’s holiday cards this coming year.
An award ceremony with refreshments will be held Monday morning at St. Michael’s.
The Savannah Tree Foundation did a significant tree planting on Tybee in late 2007.

Approx. 65 poster entries from St. Michael’s students will be on display and interviews with Principal Holly Lanford, students, judges and representatives of the Savannah Tree Foundation will be available.
