Tuesday, 03 November 2009 16:26 |
The Dolphin Project (TDP) is seeking additional volunteers to photograph and collect data on coastal Georgia and lower South Carolina dolphins, and is offering a training session in September to qualify more volunteers for the research. TDP has been an all-volunteer, nonprofit research and education organization for over 20 years. Captains and their boats, photographers with a minimum of a 300mm lens camera, team leaders and other assistants are all needed for the research. “Enjoy the beautiful coastal waters, amazing dolphins and fun folks,” said Peach Hubbard, president of Outreach Education for TDP. A 90-minute basic training is required. The next training workshop will be held at Armstrong Atlantic State University in University Hall, Room 157, on Sept. 5. No reservations are required for the free training. To attend, you must be 18 years old and be a TDP member to participate in research.
